上一次我們有“與主同行”系列,談“爭戰得勝之方”是去年的九月底,我想大家忘得差不多了。所以這個星期五,想和大家復習一下有關我們為什麼要爭戰,爭戰的對象,並如何爭戰等等。另外想和大家分享家父得救的故事,希望我的故事可以激勵你起來為你所愛的家人的靈魂爭戰。

It was late September last year when we discussed “Victory in Spiritual Battle” in the series of “Walk in God’s Ways”. It’s been a while so I assume that everyone probably forgot most of it! Therefore this Friday, I’d like to review the things on battling, the why, the who, the how, etc. I’d also like to share the story of my father’s salvation, and may my story encourage you to fight the spiritual battle for the family members you love.

| 1. 上星期朝正兄的醫生幫朝正兄爭取了一個醫院用的病床和椅子，目前朝正兄尚在適應中，希望這個能動的床會對朝正兄有更好的幫助。朝正兄目前有吞嚥的困難、說話不清楚、肩頰骨也仍疼痛。懇求主憐憫與醫治，希望化療的新藥能有好的果效，也希望這星期四朝正兄與醫生的見面、討論，能對朝正兄目前的ㄧ些不舒服，有所幫助。 2. 詹婆婆 (英語部 Jonathan 的外婆)現在病情甚嚴重，醫生也發出病危通知，急需各位弟兄姐妹的禱告。Jonathan 全家 24 小時輪流陪伴、照顧她，辛苦也心疼。求神的大能在這裡顯明，也願他們全家持守對神的信心和盼望。此外，他們因太忙而沒有時間做飯，好幾個星期都吃外賣。如果有感動的地兄姐妹願意幫忙做飯，請到 Food for Jonathan’s Family 註明。謝謝！有問題請和 Jonathan 聯絡 3. | 1. This week’s topic for Grace class is “Salvation”. Many thanks to Renny and Jacob for leading us these past several weeks! Good job, guys! From now on, Peter and Yon-Jen will be our speakers. Come and join us in discussion! And the surprise you’ve been waiting for… Mike is sharing this week AGAIN! We lost track of time and Mike did not get to share in last week’s class. Don’t miss this opportunity! Time: 10:30am 2. New Year with new plans! Such is also the case at church! The English Ministry is in need of much help to service on Sunday. Do you play the piano? Can you smile and greet newcomers? Know how to transport food from the basin to a plate? Serving is not hard at all! For those who are willing, please sign up HERE！Please contact Martin if you have any questions! 3. Joint English Ministry and Abundant Life Retreat is 3/18 – 3/20! What a long name for a retreat! | Prayer Requests | |||||
| 1. Last week, Brother Chaujun got a hospital-grade bed and chair with the help from his doctor. Now he is getting used to the bed and chair. Hopefully the adjustable bed will be beneficial to him. Brother Chaujun still has swallowing difficulty. He can’t speak clearly and has pain in his shoulders. Please continue to pray for God’s mercy and healing power upon Brother Chaujun and that the new medicine will be effective. Please also pray for his doctor appointment on Thursday as he meets and discusses with the doctor about his discomfort. 2. Grandma Jan (Jonathan’s grandmother) is extremely ill, and the doctors have issued the notice of critical illness. We are in urgent need of our brothers and sister’s prayers. Jonathan’s whole family is with her and taking care of her twenty-four seven, battling through this tough and distressing time. Pray that God’s great power be glorified here, and that their whole family hold strong in their faith and hope in God. Also, given that they have been very occupied and don’t have time to cook, they have been eating take-outs for several weeks. For those who are willing to cook for them, please sign up at Food for Jonathan’s Family, thank you! Please contact Jonathan if you have any questions. 3. Hank injured his right hand when he was skiing, but praise God that the surgery went well and Hank is safe. Please continue to pray for healing and recovery, that Hank will walk with the Lord through this difficult time, and make this accident a beautiful testimony. 4. Julianne is looking for a roommate. Given the time frame is a bit awkward, from February to September, it is difficult for her to find one. Please put this in your prayers, as we leave the search of the roommate in God’s hands, and give Julianne peace. | |||||

| 1. We are called by God to be his children. What is God’s eternal will for us? What is the goal that Christians continue to press on toward? (Referring to Ephesians 1~3) 2. Spend a little time every day during this week, bring yourself to God, and ask Him to shed light on what you need to repent of. Write it down and share with your team members during discussion. (You can refer to Ephesians 4 and 5 if you do not know how to repent.) 3. Do you long for walking in God’s ways every day, win every spiritual battle, and stand firm when you are going through hardship?
