| 活動快訊 | ||||||
| 1. 週日的 Grace class 慕道班已經恢復上課了。本週課程是“認識耶穌基督”，時間是每週日早上十點半在教會的某一間教室。有問題請和 Renny 跟 Jacob 聯絡，也請大家為這慕道班禱告，求神帶領。 2. 我們將在 1/15/11 舉行同工會，時間是下午1:30, 地點在教會。會中我們將選舉新一年的同工幹部，請弟兄姊妹踴躍參加。 3. 1/16/11星期日是聯合聚會，時間為10:30。禮拜結束後有教會一年一度的會員大會，會中將選舉新的長老與執事，請教會會員務必出席。新選出的長老與執事將在 1/23/11主日接受按立就職。 4. 豐盛團契即將向教會提出2011新的年度預算，希望大家一起集思廣益，如果你知道任何適合團契的教材、課程、活動，或是有任何建議，請向平青提出。 | ||||||
| 代禱事項 | ||||||
| 1. 朝正兄目前決定不作化療，請我們用禱告繼續扶持他前面的道路，求主堅固他與菁滿姐的信心，仰望神的醫治與看顧，也為朝正兄脖子的疼痛來代禱，他將繼續用類固醇的藥，祈求神那豐盛的慈愛充充滿滿臨到信靠祂的人，也願我們的禱告蒙神的喜悅合祂的心意。 2. 請為耀東長老的身體恢復代禱，他在身體例行檢查時發現肝有一個非常微小的腫瘤，在12月29日開刀後，已於1月1日出院回家，感謝主，手術一切順利，祈求主繼續看顧耀東長老，讓他的身體能早日康復。 3. 請大家繼續為Victoria姐姐的身體禱告，求神減輕她的憂慮，幫助她的睡眠，保守她手術可以平安順利。也求主賜給Victoria的家人心裡平安。 4. 請為我們 1/15/11 的同工會禱告，求主帶領我們豐盛團契下一年的方向，感動我們的心，選出合神心意的新幹部。 5. 感謝主！陸續有外出的弟兄姊妹平安回到美國，也帶回好吃的台灣土產與大家分享。目前仍有幾位弟兄姊妹出遊旅行，請為他們出入平安禱告，也願他們在自己的親友中成為神最好的見證。 | ||||||

| 讀經：以賽亞書58章 1. 主耶穌曾說：“你們要找我，卻找不著”。（約翰福音7:34) 可是，這位不能違背自己的主卻又說：“尋找， 就尋見”。（馬太福音7:7）這豈不是很矛盾嗎？你如何來解釋？ 2. 當神吩咐亞當說：“分別善惡樹上的果子，你不可吃 ，因為你吃的日子必定死”。（創世紀2:17）請問：當時亞當他能分辨善惡嗎？ 3. 請以詩篇1:1~3為例： 1) 先默想，解釋這段經文。 2) 請把這三節經文你所領受到的，化為你的禱告的內容。 | ||||||

| Announcements | ||||||
| 1. The devotional Grace Class for Seekers takes place on Sundays at 10:30am, and location is one of the classrooms at church. The subject this week is “Knowing Jesus Christ”. All are welcome. Please contactRenny or Jacob if you have any question, and please also pray for God’s guidance over our Grace class. 2. We will be holding the A-Life Annual Co-Worker’s Meeting at 1:30pm, January 15, 2011 at church, and we will elect new leaders for year 2011. Mark your calendar and hope to see you there! 3. We will have joint worship service on January 16, 2011. After the service, there will be CTPC Annual Congregation Meeting, and all members are expected to attend. We will elect new elders and deacons during the meeting, and the ordination and installation of new elders and deacons is on January 23, 2011. 4. Abundant Life Fellowship is preparing the submission of 2011 fellowship budget to church. We welcome everyone’s comments and suggestions for Bible study material, reference books, classes and activities. Please contact Ping-Ching if you have thoughts and ideas. | ||||||
| Prayer Requests | ||||||
| 1. Brother Chuajun has decided not to pursue chemical therapy. Please pray for God’s support for him and his path ahead, and ask God for His healing and caring power for Brother Chuajun and Sister Jingmann. Please continue to pray for Brother Chuajun’s neck pain as he continues to use steroid medication. May God’s abundant love fill those who depend on Him, and may our prayers be pleasing to God’s plan. 2. Please pray for Elder Yao-Dong’s (Sister Kwei-Yueh’s husband) health and fast recovery. During his routine physical check-up, he found a tiny tumor in his liver. Praise the Lord that the tumor was successfully removed on 12/29 and he checked out from the hospital on 1/1. 3. Please continue to pray for Victoria’s sister. Pray that God will lessen her worries and anxiety, and help her sleep. Please also pray for positive result of her surgery, as well as peace and strength to be with Victoria’s family. 4. Let us pray for our Co-Worker’s Meeting on January 15, 2011. May God lead the direction of Abundant Life fellowship in the new year, touch our hearts, and elect new leaders accordingly to His ways. 5. Praise the Lord! Several of our brothers and sisters have come back from traveling and vacation, and brought back delicious food and snacks from Taiwan. For those who are still out on vacation, please pray for their safety during traveling, and that they may be God’s testimonies when they spend time with their families and friends. | ||||||

| Scripture Reading: Isaiah 58 1. Jesus said: “You will look for me, but you will not find me.” (John 7:34) However, our God, who never contradicts Himself, also said: “Seek and you will find.” Isn’t it contradictory? How do you explain it? 2. When God told Adam: “You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.” Did Adam know the difference between good and evil at that time? 3. Use Psalms 1:1~3 as an example. 1) Meditate and interpret these verses. 2) Apply what you have learned from these verses into your prayers. | ||||||
