活動快訊

1. 本週Grace class 慕道班將舉行豐盛團契首次的晨禱會。感謝前幾週來 Hank 和平青的帶領。辛苦了！晨禱會將由 Julianne 帶領，讓我們透過同心禱告，一起來經歷神為豐盛團契所預備滿滿的祝福與恩典吧！如果你有任何需要代禱的事項，也請讓Julianne知道。

2. 要~分~餅~了~！
感謝主的帶領，各餅都有所成長。為了增進團契弟兄姐妹們的情誼，我們將在七月重新分組。請各位拭目以待！

3. 5/28 (六) 首府食物銀行志工服務
請於11:30am在教會集合，或於12:45pm直接在目的會合。如何前往請參考Volunteer Directions。若有問題請聯絡Morgan。為了安全起見，請不要穿會露出腳趾的鞋，也別穿你最喜歡的衣服，因為衣物很可能會被弄髒。

4. 6/25 (六) 日本賑災手工藝義賣活動
我們將聯合英語部，一同來舉辦手工藝義賣活動！活動包括手工藝品販賣、DIY攤位、遊戲、和表演等等。有興趣者請聯絡Jean、Morgan或Jessica Kuo！

地點 : 北維州台灣長老教會
捐款至 : 日本基督徒救難行動
需要 : 以下活動的義工: 販賣你自己的藝品、DIY攤位協調者、準備甜點及烘培食物、負責採買志工。

5. 7/9-10 (六–日) 同樂之旅!
波托馬克河海灘之旅！報名已截止。我們7/9-10在這裡(車程2.5小時)登記住宿，另將租用一台可睡7人的露營車。我們將於7/9(六)早上7:00 am於教會集合出發。每人費用約為$70。因來不及回去教會，星期天的早上將有一個見證/分享/講道時間。

6. 7/22-24 (五–日) 台語堂、豐盛團契及少年團契暑期靈修會

需要 : 少年團契小組組長數名

7. 協助李家人計劃
為了繼續對李家人提供財務支持(以減輕貸款、聖香和聖心的大學學費、日常花費的負擔)，請開支票給“Shulien Su”, 菁滿姐的妹妹。她會負責將捐款交給李家人。
聯絡：Morgan會負責收取捐款支票，再將這些款項交給菁滿姐和其妹處理。

8. 李家雅房出租
徵1至2位不抽菸，沒有寵物的女房客來承租獨立屋中的其中一間房。配備有開放式廚房、客廳，餐廳等。

1. 這心靈上的恢復過程，對菁滿姐來說，並不是容易的。她和女兒們仍然很傷心。她實在很感謝大家對她的愛，因此我們更是要不間斷地禱告。所以請大家繼續為她們禱告，使她們的心得著安慰、求主開拓一條路解決經濟方面的困難、讓我們的教會能夠幫忙、且感動 大家的心而持續為這家庭支助。

1. This week’s Grace Class will be Abundant Life first Morning Prayer Meeting! Join us in the Grace Class classroom at the usual time as we unite in prayer for our fellowship! Julianne will be leading us, so contact her if you have prayer requests to be included!

2. Bread Groups Reshuffle
Praise God for His guidance, all bread groups have grown individually. To help us know one another better, we will be rearranging all bread groups in July.

3. 5/28 (Sat) Capital Area Food Bank Volunteer
Meet at church at 11:30AM or be at CAFB in DC at 12:45PM (for directions, visit http://www.capitalareafoodbank.org/). If you have any questions, please email Morgan or contact him in person. Be sure NOT to wear open toe shoes (for safety) or your favorite shirt because you’ll get dirty!

4. 6/25 (Sat) Japan Relief Art Fair Fundraiser
We are uniting with the EM to host a community Arts fair! Fair includes crafts/arts, do-it-yourself booths, games, and shows, etc. If you are interested, please let Jean, Morgan, or Jessica know!

Time: June 25, Saturday
Place: CTPC
Donations to: CRASHJAPAN
Need: Volunteers for the following categories: selling your own arts/crafts, parking lot assistants, snacks and baked goods preparations, do-it-yourself booth coordinators, and supplies purchasers.

5. 7/9-10 (Sat-Sun) Potomac River Beach Trip
REGISTRATION CLOSED! The location is about 2.5 hours away by car. Lodging information is here + a RV for 7 people. Meet and leave church on 7/9 at 7:00AM. The cost per person is around $70. We will be having a testimony/sharing/sermon time on Sunday morning since we won’t be able to make it back to church in time.

Need: Volunteers to be small group leaders for youth!

7. Continuing Financial Support for the Lee Family
To help with finances (mortgage, Susan and Sheng-Shin’s college education fund, daily needs), please make checks payable to “Shulien Su”, Sister Chinman’s sister, who will set up funds for the Lees.
Contact: Morgan is the fund collector and will deliver funds to Sister Chinman.

Prayer Requests

1. It has not been an easy road to recovery for Sister Chinman, as she and the girls are still heavy with grief. She is very thankful for all the love everyone has poured out for her, but we still need to keep on praying. Therefore, please continue to pray for healing hearts for the family, that the Lord will provide a way to solve their financial challenges, that our church will be able to help them, and that people will continue to have a heart to help them in any way they can.

2. James (Bond) Lee is going to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September for an Alzheimer’s Society. Please pray for energy as he starts his top secret training! Website: http://www.justgiving.com/JamesLee123

Homework

What I like to share with you this Friday evening is how to win the spiritual battle and how to apply it to our daily life. Do you know what the key is to win your spiritual battle? I sincerely hope that you will be more like Jesus in your life and able to send your blessings to more people by learning this lesson.

Questions for Discussion:

Q1. There are several “winners” in Bible. Each group is assigned to study a winner and analyze the winner’s key to his victory and the quality of his characteristics. (Moses – Wheel Cakes, Elijah – Sun Cakes, David – Wedding Cookies, Abraham – Salt and Light Cakes, Paul – Roasted Pastries) – We did not get to this question last time.

Q2. Do you know what is the armor of God? Do you know how to wear it?
