	代禱事項
	1. 朝正兄現在改換由復健師，一星期來家裡三天，幫朝正兄復健，希望能減少朝正兄的疼痛，也準備裝對講機來幫助與家人的聯絡。求主幫助朝正兄，賜予他平靜安穩的心，讓朝正兄的吞嚥問題能改善、肩頰骨的疼痛能減輕。菁滿姐的坐骨神經疼痛，心靈的負擔也很重，請我們也為這來代禱，讓我們為這個家獻上我們迫切的祈求，這個家需要更多從神來的力量，需要我們的扶持與代禱，求主加添力量，求主憐憫。 2. 盈興兄的父親(藹玲姐的公公)週二晚上過世。他計畫在3/12-3/21返台奔喪。由於盈興兄是家裡唯一的基督徒，他的父母來美國探望時都曾參加過教會，母親在美國的教會裡做過決志禱告，父親也曾在唱詩歌時感動落淚，但在台灣卻總有種種阻攔而無法繼續到教會。藹玲與盈興這陣子的工作真的非常忙碌, 因此請為他們在工作與家庭上的一切代禱，求神保守他們的心懷意念，也為藹玲姐是否可以一起回台灣，及他(們)在台灣與家人的交通代禱。

Lent is a 40 day period leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus. The way we prepare is through self examination, prayer, and fasting (or giving something up). May Christ’ life, death, and resurrection be more real to you this Lenten season! If you don’t know what to give up, here are a few ideas: Facebook, chocolate, TV, eating out, YouTube, Instant Messaging, junk food, telling bad jokes, steak, cars… I think I’m getting off track here… 3. To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer The image and aroma of delicious cakes, Or to take arms against a sea of sweet-tooth people, And by opposing end them. Fine, I never learned Shakespeare. We’re celebrating the spring birthdays this Friday! Join us with great cheer! 	Prayer Requests
	1. Brother Chaujun now has a physical therapist that comes three days a week. Hopefully this will decrease his pain. An interphone will also be installed so that communication will be easier in the family. Pray that the Lord help Brother Chaujun, give him a peaceful and calm heart, improve his swallowing problems and ease his scapula pain. Sister Jingmann is having sciatic pain, while the pressure lies heavy in her heart. Let us also pray for this, and present our urgent prayers for this family. This family needs more power for God, and also our help and prayers. May the Lord grant them strength, may the Lord show His mercy. 2. Brother Ying-Hing’s father (Sister Ai-Ling’s father-in-law) passed away Tuesday night. He plans on going back to Taiwan for the funeral from 3/12-3/21. Since Brother Ying-Hsin is the only Christian in his family, his parents have attended church when they come to the States to visit. His mother has proclaimed her faith before here, and his father once moved to tears while singing praise. However, much obstacles prevented them from attending church once they went back to Taiwan. Sister Ai-Ling and Brother Ying-Hsin have been burdened from their jobs, so please pray for their work and their family. May the Lord guard their hearts, open a way for Sister Ai-Ling to go back with him, and watch over his (their) time in Taiwan with the family.

	Scripture Reading: Matthew 5: 1-12 1. What kind of people do we usually consider them blessed? 2. Matthew 5: 3 mentions “the poor in spirit (those who are poor in spirit)”, namely those who admit they possess nothing before God. (1) Why is “poor in spirit” an indispensible condition in order to inherit the kingdom of God? (2) Why is it difficult for us to admit we are poor in spirit? (3) Why do those poor in spirit need to mourn (mourn for sins, repent)?

	“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. (Matthew 5:13)

	1. First take a look at this week’s verse. Hmm… salt. Since salt gives flavor, this must mean that Christians should influence the world to have heavenly flavor, and make all people to experience a life full of flavor! Also, salt can melt ice and snow. Then this must imply that Christians are ambassadors of peace, and to melt all hatred and enmities! Do the above explanation accordance to the teachings in the Bible? How does one interpret the Bible correctly? Therefore, don’t miss this week’s special fellowship! Rev. Johann Lai’s special lecture on “Ten Steps to Interpret the Bible” commences! 	Prayer Requests
	1. Brother Chaujun went to see the doctor last Thursday. Given that he is using new medication for the chemotherapy, the effects are not good and will discontinue. For now a search for better medication to help Brother Chaujun starts, hence please put this in prayer and that the Lord will open a way. Brother Chaujun still has swallowing, speaking, and scapula pain problems, preventing him from getting out of bed. He is in urgent need for our prayers, our encouragement! May the Lord give him strength, and show mercy. 2. Grandma Jan has passed on, and the memorial service will take place on March 5^th at 10:30am. 9:30am is the viewing. May the Lord watch over Grandpa Jan, Sister Lihyuan, Jonathan, and Matilda’s family, and give them peace.
