The Taiwanese Ministry (TM) Music Ministry at Chesterbrook Taiwanese Presbyterian Church (CTPC), under the leadership of Elder Yu Hui (Grace) Hwang and through the faithful participation of many dedicated musicians, volunteers, and ministry partners, is a worship-centered, mission-driven ministry that seeks to glorify God through music and to serve both the church and the wider community. We thank God for His guidance in bringing together people of different ages, backgrounds, and musical gifts to serve Him with one heart. We believe music is not merely performance or technique, but a gracious gift from God and a vital way for the church to respond to His calling and bear witness to His glory.
Through singing, instrumental music, and ensemble worship, we serve regularly in Sunday worship and actively reach beyond the church walls. Our ministry participates in community outreach—such as visiting senior living communities to share music, testimonies, comfort, and hope—and organizes evangelistic concerts, as well as cross-church and intergenerational music events. These gatherings unite people of all ages and backgrounds in worship while building relationships that point others to Christ.
Over the past several years, the ministry has grown to include a church choir, handbell choir, youth worship band, guzheng ensemble, children’s music ministry, and seasonal instrumental groups. Together, these ensembles provide meaningful opportunities for children, youth, and adults to worship, learn, and serve side by side. The TM Music Ministry values multi-generational discipleship, encouraging each member to develop both musical gifts and a servant’s heart.
We believe that when God’s people sing together and play instruments in worship, we are not simply participating in church activities—we are fulfilling God’s design and command for His people to praise Him with all that we are.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6)
“Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet; praise Him with the harp and lyre… Praise Him with loud clashing cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:3–6)
“Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” (Psalm 33:3)
“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.” (Ephesians 5:19)
May our music extend beyond the sanctuary to bless the community, strengthen the fellowship of believers, connect churches, and draw people of every generation closer to Jesus Christ, so that all honor, praise, and glory may be given to God alone.
在北維州台灣基督長老教會（CTPC），台語堂音樂事工是一項以敬拜為核心、以福音為使命、以社群為導向的事工。音樂是上帝所賜的恩典，是教會回應神呼召、向世人見證祂榮耀的重要方式。
透過詩歌、器樂與合奏，我們不僅在主日敬拜中事奉，也積極走出教會，參與社區服事與福音外展，例如前往長者安養中心分享音樂與見證，將安慰、盼望與主的愛帶給需要的人。我們也定期舉辦音樂會，並參與跨教會、跨世代的聯合音樂敬拜，讓不同背景、年齡與語言的音樂愛好者，一同在神面前讚美、彼此連結。
台語堂音樂事工涵蓋兒童、青少年與成人，鼓勵所有年齡層一同學習、同心服事，包括聖歌隊、古箏班、手鐘團、青少年福音樂團。我們深信，當神的子民同聲歌唱、齊心奏樂時，不只是完成一項事工，更是在回應神起初的命令——用聲音、用生命、用一切所有來敬拜祂。

「要向耶和華唱新歌！用十弦的樂器和瑟，歌唱彈奏！」（詩篇 33:2-3）
「當用詩章、頌詞、靈歌彼此對說，口唱心和地讚美主。」（以弗所書 5:19）
願我們的音樂不只停留在教會內，而是成為祝福社區、連結眾教會、並引人歸向上帝的管道，使一切榮耀都歸給神。
