The days between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday is known as Lent. In the same way that Advent season ignites our hearts with excitement at the expectation of Jesus’ birth, the Lenten season brings the somber reality of Christ’s suffering and death to the forefront of our minds – which gives way to the joy and victory of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.  Together as one body, we wish to familiarize ourselves with Jesus’ story by reading the book of Matthew, interspersed with key meditation verses. On the last week of Lent known as Passion Week or Holy Week, we encourage you to fast one or two meals and/or refrain from media. Our hope is that we will be transformed through the reading and meditation of the Word, and Jesus will be more treasured as we gather together for Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
