Youth Group Christmas Party 2012

The Youth Group spent Friday night celebrating the coming of Christmas! We welcomed back several college students who stopped by and even some new comers.

The youth have been scoping each other out for an entire month after receiving their Secret Santa assignments. With the help of this game we got to know each other’s likes and dislikes better. Highlights: A Selena Gomez toothbrush, running shorts, cookies, and a basketball wrapped in a makeshift box made of tape and multiple pieces of cardboard. Our youth are very creative!

We then talked about what makes the coming of Christ such a good gift – in fact the best gift. Christ being born means so much: that God saves, that God fulfills His promises, that God is a God who knows our struggle. It also means that, like all good gifts, God knows us even better than we know ourselves, thought and cared for us, and gave more abundantly than we could imagine. What an amazing gift and what a reason to celebrate!

With the help of our fantastic parents, there were many snacks and drinks to enjoy together. We also had a holiday photobooth where we all unleashed our sillier sides. If you’d like to see more photos, please check out our Flickr page.

Merry Christmas CTPC!
